Nose Art

Little Bear was a Walt Disney design completed for the students in training at the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan's No. 3 Wireless School at Winnipeg, Manitoba. The squadron was No. 13, Flight 13D, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Clarence painted the replica on fabric skin from Noorduyn Norseman IV (Serial #2494) that served with the RCAF from July 1940 until January 1946. During 1947 it was sold and registered as CF-EIH. Later that year, the aircraft crashed in northern Canada. It was recovered in 1993 and restored by the Alberta Aviation Museum in Edmonton and placed on display in 1999. The "C" is a portion of the original marking painted in 1947.
