Matthew Ferguson's widow and his son John were two of some 24 members of the Ferguson family that attended the opening honouring the man said to be, "The greatest of the Canadian Nose Artists." Guest speakers included Tom Walton, the wartime artist who painted "Sugar's Blues" on a 424 Squadron Lancaster, and Clarence Simonsen, author of "RAF and RCAF Aircraft Nose Art in World War II."
